What Our Community Thinks

I've been going to Skan Strength for over 2 years now. My overall health has improved dramatically. The variety of exercises Jeff takes us through keep the visits interesting. The camaraderie of the others that join us in the morning is a big bonus. It all makes exercising fun ... believe it or not.

Sal S.

My overall strength is strong and getting stronger and my balance is improving as well as cognitively I feel a difference. I love the overall atmosphere where you see some wonderful people I know and where I meet new faces.

Patti C.

I was welcomed into a community of caring and committed wellness professionals that customized a dynamic fitness program to help me heal and help me to age well. This is a life enhancing place where all are welcome. Fun and caring as we “stay as strong as we can for as long as we can”.

FAQs

Get answers to common questions about our Morning Mobility program.

  • Is Morning Mobility right for me if I have limited mobility?

Absolutely! Morning Mobility is designed to meet you where you are. Dr. Taylor provides modifications for all movements based on your current mobility level and any restrictions you might have. In fact, those with limited mobility often experience the most significant improvements from the class. We focus on gentle, progressive movements that respect your body's current capabilities while gradually expanding your range of motion.

  • How is this different from a typical stretching class?

While stretching is a component of our program, Morning Mobility offers a more comprehensive approach to movement health. Rather than just stretching muscles, we focus on joint mobility, neuromuscular control, movement patterns, and body awareness. The program is led by a Doctor of Chiropractic who brings clinical expertise to the movements, ensuring they address the root causes of restricted mobility rather than just temporary symptom relief. You'll learn not just how to move better, but why certain movements matter for your long-term health.

  • Do I need any special equipment?

No special equipment is needed! Just wear comfortable clothing that allows for free movement. We may occasionally use simple props like a chair, wall, or floor space, but these are everyday items you'd have access to at home as well. This makes it easy to continue your mobility practice anywhere, anytime.

  • Will this help with my specific pain or condition?

While Morning Mobility can be beneficial for many common musculoskeletal issues, it's not designed as a treatment for specific medical conditions. Dr. Taylor's background as a chiropractor informs the program design, but the class is educational rather than therapeutic in nature. For personalized advice regarding specific conditions, we recommend scheduling a consultation with Dr. Taylor through our chiropractic services. That said, many participants find that improved mobility helps reduce discomfort associated with common issues like desk-worker posture, general stiffness, and age-related mobility changes.
