Strength, Fitness &
Confidence for Girls.
Semi-private strength and fitness training for girls in Skaneateles, NY, designed to help them become stronger, more physically capable, and more confident in the gym.
A PLACE FOR GIRLS TO
GET STRONG.
Girls Power Hour is SkanStrength’s semi-private strength and fitness program designed specifically for girls who want to exercise, get stronger, improve their fitness, and become more confident in what their bodies can do.
Girls come to the program with different interests, experiences, and goals. Some are athletes looking to build strength and fitness to support their sport. Others may not participate in organized sports and simply want an active, structured place to exercise, learn how to strength train, and improve their overall health and fitness.
Training incorporates strength, movement, cardiovascular fitness, coordination, and general physical preparation, with exercises and progressions adjusted for age, experience, physical development, and current ability. Girls who are completely new to strength training can learn from the ground up, while those with more experience can continue progressing and taking greater ownership of their training.
Just as importantly, Girls Power Hour gives girls an opportunity to become comfortable in a gym environment. We want them to learn how to use equipment, understand fundamental exercises, develop good training habits, and gain confidence through becoming more competent and physically capable.
Whether training supports a sport, an active lifestyle, or simply a desire to feel strong and healthy, the goal is to help girls develop strength, fitness, confidence, and an understanding of exercise that can continue with them as they grow.
