Girls Power Hour

Empowering young women with strength, confidence, and community

Program Overview

Girls Power Hour is a specialized after-school and summer program designed for young women to receive expert weight room coaching from female trainers in a comfortable, supportive, female-only environment. Our primary objective is to empower participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to train effectively and navigate any weight room with ease.

Our program focuses on proper exercise techniques, progressive training methods, and building genuine strength—both physical and mental. Participants learn not just what exercises to do, but how to perform them proficiently with proper form and safe training techniques. It's common for our participants to return from college sharing how their training here prepared them to confidently outperform peers in university weight rooms.

Beyond physical training, Girls Power Hour creates a space free from social media pressures, comparisons, and cliques. Our sessions are judgment-free zones where young women can push themselves together, form genuine connections, and strengthen existing bonds—all while developing a positive relationship with fitness and their bodies.

Led by experienced female trainers who understand the unique concerns young women face, our team creates an environment where questions are encouraged, effort is celebrated, and every participant can develop the strength, power, and confidence to succeed both in the gym and in life.

  • Is weight training safe for children?

Absolutely! When properly coached with age-appropriate methods, strength training is not only safe but highly beneficial for young women. It builds bone density, improves posture, increases confidence, and establishes healthy fitness habits that last a lifetime. Our female coaches are specially trained in youth development.

Just comfortable workout clothes, supportive athletic shoes, a water bottle, and a positive attitude! We provide all the equipment needed for training sessions.

  • Does my participant need previous fitness experience to join?

Not at all! Girls Power Hour welcomes participants of all fitness levels. We start with fundamentals and progress at each individual's pace. Many of our most successful participants had never set foot in a weight room before joining our program.

  • How do you make the environment comfortable for girls?

Our program is led exclusively by female trainers who understand the unique concerns young women may have. We create a supportive, non-judgmental space free from societal pressures or comparisons.
