Summer SAPS Training
Speed - Agility - Power - Strength
A comprehensive athletic development program focused on Speed, Agility, Power, and Strength for young athletes preparing for sports success.
Program Overview
The Summer SAPS (Speed-Agility-Power-Strength) Program is designed to transform young athletes through comprehensive athletic development. This program focuses on the four pillars of athletic performance—Speed, Agility, Power, and Strength—while creating a supportive community of motivated peers.
Participants will learn proper movement mechanics, age-appropriate strength training, and effective conditioning methods that prepare them for upcoming fall sports seasons. Beyond physical development, SAPS emphasizes the mental aspects of performance, building confidence and positive self-talk through accomplishment.
Our experienced coaches create a positive, challenging environment where young athletes can push their limits safely and develop both physical capabilities and mental fortitude.

What Our Community Thinks
So my children have been attending Skan strength and fitness for just about a year… the environment programs and hands on approach from the physical trainers/ owners is amazing. They really put your/ your child’s needs first. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone starting for themselves or their student athletes.

My 11 year old son attends the after school program 2 days per week with Dan and Nate. He loves it and we are so thrilled to bring him to this great family run gym. Dan and his team are kind and encouraging- it’s what you hope it would be. The facility is large, clean and most importantly safe. My son has grown in strength and confidence and I would highly recommend this very positive and motivating experience for all tweens and beyond.
Kry B.
My 14-year-old son has been attending for a little over a year and I have only wonderful things to say about SkanStrength! They create such a positive environment for the kids which is especially impressive given the age range they work with during the youth training hours. My son works with Dan and he is just incredible at meeting the kids where they are and working with them on their specific needs. My son has benefitted in many ways since joining!
Also, SkanStrength is really great at accommodating the crazy schedule of kids. There are times my son won't go for weeks due to other commitments but then he's always welcomed right back when he returns. I'm thrilled we found this gym for him!
Laurren B.
My son has been to a few gyms in the Auburn/Skaneateles area, but absolutely loves Skaneateles Strength & Conditioning. He is impressed with how the trainers have tailored a program to meet his needs and the individual attention they have given him. He highly recommends this gym.

FAQs
Get answers to common questions about our SAPS program.
Is this program appropriate for beginners?
Yes! Our coaches calibrate training to each athlete's current ability level. Whether your child is just starting their athletic journey or is a seasoned competitor, the program will challenge them appropriately. We focus on proper technique and progressive development for athletes of all experience levels.
How is training tailored to different age groups?
We design training based on biological development, not just chronological age. Each athlete receives appropriate training loads and progressions suited to their individual development stage. Our coaches are experienced in modifying exercises and drills to accommodate various physical development levels.
What should my child bring?
Athletic clothing, supportive athletic shoes, water bottle, and a positive attitude! No specialized equipment is needed. We provide all the necessary training equipment for each session.
Is this program sport-specific?
While the SAPS program builds foundational athletic qualities that benefit all sports, our coaches can provide sport-specific modifications and guidance for athletes. The core principles of speed, agility, power, and strength transfer to virtually all athletic pursuits, giving participants an advantage regardless of their sport.
